From scratch... It's been so long...

This is a short one I'd think. The reasoning behind it is more to resuscitate my imagination after about ten years of forcing my mind to follow a logical, rigorous path. The path of an automaton. The thought of writing again does intrigue me. I'm done with perpetually giving up before I've even started, blaming the lack of tools for not being able to take photographs properly, or a small monitor for not being able to edit a film masterpiece. I'm tired of keeping everything in my head. All the beasts, demons, heroes and villains and explosions and reflections and thoughts stew in my mind.

I visited a friend of mine, Stuart, at his place last thursday. He was making lamb stew. I still find it strange that he was boiling the lamb and potatoes and carrots in a pressure cooker. The meal was good, but the lamb was so well done that it literally melted off the bone...and the bone itself became soft, making it easy to confuse the meat with the bone. We had had a few glasses of Pinochet and I didn't really care much - I'm usually ravenous when I'm drunk. I have no idea what Pinochet is, and so the wine was wasted on me. I could blame my traditional Indian upbringing or my failure to enjoy the pleasures of alcohol before the age of 20.

The first time I got drunk was in my second year of varsity. Technically it was my second year of studies. Me and a few friends bought a half-jack of vodka. We mixed it with a lime/lemon soda called Lemon Twist my head spun for ages i banged the rear door of the toyota against my shin a few times I made out with a tree i attempted to beat up a random dude from west campus i collapsed i threw up and had my head slammed against a urinal. That last one against the urinal, my friends actioned on me - it was either an attempt to sober me up or an act of frustration for having to take care of a 220 pound drunkard who couldn't move his legs.

Well this was fun, trying to write again after so long. And it feels good not to have references after each statement ( to hell with Harvard formats and the IEEE) Its nice (ah... I finally get to use that word...) to use 'me' and 'I'. I don't care if this one was boring. I'm going to keep on doing it till I get it right. Hey, at least you're not having to read SMSspeak cos tht wud be insane n i cudnt bare th thougt of doin sumtin like dat 2 u. Eye doe an joy do in sea lee chat her bart eye maine lee dew diss two irritate people so I'm going to stop now.

I would like to write about dragons and stuff though...
